c. 1951 Gibson BR-9 lap steel guitar
28 November 2021
I bought this one from Elderly Instruments in Lansing, Michigan in May 2021. It was a student model lap steel back in the day, hence the numbers on the fret board. Apparently Gibson built about 15,000 of them so they're not exactly rare but with an early '50s P-90 pickup on them I had to take a chance.
It played really well and was very light weight, however the pickup was relatively weak so I sold it a few months later at the end of November.
